41 SMS students participated in the Southeastern United States Middle School Honor Band at Troy University on November 14th & 15th! Several of our band members earned a spot within the top 5 of each section, including Jimmy Bafford, who earned the top score out of all 38 trumpets in attendance. Thank you to our incredible SMS Band Director, Melanie Perry, for organizing the trip and instilling such a wonderful love for music in our students. We would also like to thank all who chaperoned and attended the event to support our students as well!

7th Graders who participated include: Braxton Alvarez-Rios, Jimmy Bafford, Sidney Barrett, Emiline Bosch, Evelyn Brantley, Zackary Conger, Ansley Cullars, Audrey Flinn, Kyleigh Foster, Troy Glasscock, Ryleigh Headley, Caiden Hilyer, Abbigail Johnston, Gracelyn Kilpatrick, Jace Lockhart, Carleigh Norrell, Carolina Norrell, Ava Rigsby, Roxy Scott, Zoey Taylor, & Van Wadsworth.
We are very proud of how well our students performed and represented Southside Middle School and Tallassee City Schools!
