Last week we celebrated Read Across America Week at Tallassee Elementary! Wow! What a fun-filled week we've had with theme dress up days, special guest readers, and plenty of Dr. Seuss fun!
Monday's theme was "Oh the Places You'll Go" - Students, faculty, and staff wore their favorite college gear or dressed as their future profession! It was a great day seeing all the students' dreams! We can't wait to watch them unfold over the years ahead!
Tuesday's theme was "Cat in the Hat" - Students, faculty, and staff wore their favorite hats to school! We can't cover our excitement for reading around here!
Wednesday's theme was "Wacky Wednesday" - Students, faculty, and staff wore their craziest outfits and hairstyles! It was a super wacky day filled with excitement!
Thursday's theme was Book Character Day! Students, faculty, and staff dressed as their favorite book character. We even had a student write her very own story and dress as one of the characters in her story! We love when students use their academic skills and are encouraged to bring their stories to LIFE!
Friday's theme was the Sleep Book - Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed dressing in their pajamas to celebrate! We also welcomed many special guest readers. Thank you to everyone who came to read!
