Lydia Bird, Hurley Scott, and Alina Tran auditioned for, and were selected to perform in, the Alabama Bandmasters Association District VI Honor Band.
Their audition included 12 major scales, two minor scales, a chromatic scale, two prepared pieces (one lyrical, one technical), and sight reading.
The band at Tallassee is led by Dr. Robby Glasscock and Ms. Melanie Perry.
There were between 40 and 50 players on each of their instruments auditioning for just a few spots in the band. Congratulations Hurley, Lydia, and Alina.. and thank you for representing Tallassee City Schools!
