Beginning July 6th, Tallassee High School will begin accepting parking permit applications from the Senior and Junior Classes only. The applications must be completed and returned to the office no later than July 29th for Seniors and July 30th for Juniors. The charge for a permit will be $40.00. The payment for the parking permit must be included with the completed permit application form at the time that the form is brought to the office. All debts owed to the school, including lost textbooks, damaged Ipads and music department fees, must be taken care of before a parking permit will be issued. A parent must sign his/her student's parking permit application, along with the student's signature, before an application will be issued. At the time that a permit application is turned into the office, the student must present the completed form, a copy of his/her valid driver's license and proof of insurance. It is very important that parents and students understand that parking on campus is a privilege and the right to do so can be taken away at the discretion of the principal at any time. All campus parking and traffic rules will be further outlined in the Student Handbook. All parents should carefully read over all of these rules and make sure that his/her student understands his/her responsibility in driving his/her automobile on the school campus.
All Parker Permits may be picked up on August 10th in the Main Office at the School. Senior applications that are received by July 29th will be given first priority, after which all Juniors' permits received by July 30th will be pulled. Permits are assigned randomly and there are no assigned areas for any particular group of students.
