Tallassee's Dr. Robby Glasscock was selected as Alabama's representative for the "50 Band Directors Who Make a Difference" in School Band & Orchestra magazine, a national publication for music teachers.

Avery Brantley and Mallory Glass both ran in the AHSAA Class 5A state championship. Brantley finished 57th in the 5A boys race with a season-best time of 17:54.67. In the 5A girls race, Glass placed 96th for her time of 24:04.54.
