
The learning experience was fun for our first grade students. They celebrated the 101st day of school with a Dalmatian theme.


PreK and kindergarten students enjoyed celebrating and dressing up for the 100th day of school. Students participated in sorting and counting special snacks using base tens frames. These activities not only make learning fun but also reinforce important concepts. We celebrate educational milestones in creative ways to a positive and enriching learning experience for our students.



T.E.S. students and school personnel enjoyed a special treat to celebrate National Popcorn Day.


Students are learning to demonstrate the correct form with overhand throwing and how to throw with accuracy.


In music, T.E.S. students learned about types of notes. A tie is a curved line between two notes that joins their time values together so that they are played as if they were one note.


Kindergarten students learn the proper technique for a controlled brushstroke. Also, they were instructed on the different brushes to use for multiple mediums.


TES scholars have experienced lessons involving phonemic awareness. Teachers are exposing students to notice, think about, and work with the individual sounds in words. This includes blending sounds into words, segmenting words into sounds, and deleting the sounds in words.


Throughout this week, students have been actively engaged in learning about the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


While enjoying a great read aloud, students are developing auditory and verbal
proficiency through collaborative discussions.


The accountability report card score for 2022-2023 academic year has been released. TES score is derived from a combination of ACAP data on Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, and chronic absenteeism. In the image, you will find TES accountability report card.


Congratulations to our “PAWSitively Amazing” students at Tallassee Elementary. These students were recognized for doing great deeds and displaying leadership skills.


T.E.S. students learned about locomotor skills in physical education class. To make the lesson memorable, parents and students celebrated National Square Dance Day through dance and movement patterns. Thank you to our dynamic coaches for making instruction enjoyable.



We are excited about our food drive success of 455 non-perishable items donated to ACTS. These items will serve families in our community. Thank you parents, students, and TES faculty and staff.

Today, the Tallassee Elementary students came together to express their gratitude to our brave veterans. They extended thanks and showed their appreciation for the sacrifices made in service. Thank you to all of our veterans and we hope you have a wonderful Veteran's Day!


A great way to start the morning on National Saxophone Day is listening to the smooth tunes from THS saxophone players. Thank you Dr. Glasscock for providing this experience for the elementary students.


A great way to make it through the freezing temperature is with hot chocolate. Tallassee Elementary faculty and staff had a special treat this morning!


The 4th-grade trip to Fort Toulouse was an immersive historical adventure, where students engaged in hands-on learning about the fort's significance in shaping our nation. With interactive exhibits and engaging guides, the trip perfectly balanced education and fun, creating lasting memories and deepening the students' understanding of their heritage.
