If you have inquiries regarding your child's curriculum or classroom expectations, we encourage you to reach out to your child's classroom teacher for assistance. Email or ParentSquare communication is the preferred and most efficient method of contact. You can easily access the email addresses of our teachers by visiting the staff directory on the school's website, as provided in the links below.

PowerSchool Parent Portal

PowerSchool SIS is the Student Information System used by Tallassee City Schools. It is a web-based application that allows parents and students to log into a secure account from home, school or work; access real-time assignments, grades and attendance; request reports; email teachers; and more.

ParentSquare

Tallassee City Schools uses ParentSquare, a user‑friendly communication platform that consolidates school updates, announcements, and alerts—all into one convenient location for parents and guardians.

    • Parents receive an activation link (via email or text) to set up their ParentSquare account.
    • Once activated, families can customize preferences—including notification frequency and delivery method.
    • The system pulls contact information (email/phone) from the school’s Student Information System (SIS) for automatic setup and verification.

PowerSchool Enrollment

PowerSchool Enrollment is a secure process that allows the District to verify all student information for your child prior to the start of the new school year.

  • Enrolling a New Student for 2023-2024

    Pre-register your student with Tallassee City Schools for the 2023-2024 by clicking on the following link. After successfully submitting the enrollment forms, please contact the school to complete the registration process.

    Enrollment Requirements

    • Copy of Birth Certificate
    • Immunization Record
    • Two (2) Proofs of Residency for School District
    • Completed and notarized affidavit, in addition to items listed above, if proofs of residency are not in parent/guardian's name.
    • Completed Home Visit by TCS administrator (not required for non-resident enrollment)

    Live outside of the Tallassee City Schools district? No worries!
    Complete the New Student Registration form to pre-register. Click yes when asked if this student resides OUTSIDE the school district. After clicking yes, Non-Resident Student information will be available to complete.

     

  • Returning Students for 2023-2024

    If you are a current TCS student returning the 2023-2024 school year, you must complete all the Returning Student Registration forms in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

    • I don’t have internet access or a computer. What do I do?
      Please call your school: They can arrange for you to use a school computer.
    • Do I have to answer every question?
      Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.
    • What if I don't know how to upload documents (proof of residence, a copy of birth certificate, etc.)? 
      No problem.  Complete all required fields, then take your documents to the school office in order to complete the registration process.
    • What if I made a mistake?
      If you would like to make a change - prior to submitting the form - you can either navigate back to the page using the “<Prev” and “Next>” buttons. Or, if you are on the Review page, click on the underlined field. If you have already submitted the form, then you will need to contact your student’s school, so staff members can make the changes for you.
    • I’ve completed the form. Now what?
      Once you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all the required questions.
    • What if I have more than one student in the district? Do I have to do this for each child?
      Yes, because you’ll need to provide information that is specific to each child. We recommend that you complete and submit one form and then start another – this will allow you to “snap” (or share) selected family information, which saves you time.
    • I’m not sure how to answer a question. I don’t know what the question is asking.
      Don’t hesitate to call your school if you have a question about a specific item.

What is Google Classroom?

Google Classroom is a cloud-based Learning Management System for educational institutions. It integrates with other Google products, such as Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Forms, to make it easy for teachers to create and manage assignments, grade student work, and collaborate with students.

Clever

    What is Freckle?

    Freckle is an online learning platform that allows students to practice Math and English Language Arts at their own level. Freckle continuously adapts to each student’s individual skills, so each student is getting the appropriate challenge, whether they’re working at, above, or below grade level.

    Boost Reading (formerly Amplify Reading) helps K–5 educators meet the needs of every reader with personalized literacy instruction based in the Science of Reading.
